Top dancers from the local area are getting ready to cut a rug at Holy Trinity Catholic High School this week.

Holy Trinity will play host to its second So You Think You Can Dance Norfolk event this Friday night.

The competition is open to Norfolk County students of all ages and dance
levels. Entrants don't need prior experience, just a desire to show off
their moves.

This year's competition will be held in the cafeteria in the main atrium
of the school. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Friday, with dancing commencing
at 6 p.m. Admission is $7, payable at the door.

Dancers will be judged in three categories: Best technique,
audience favourite and funniest. So You Think You Can Dance Norfolk drew
hundreds of enthusiastic spectators last year. Organizers Alyssa Treszl
and Crista Maes are looking for a repeat this Friday night.

On May 6th 2011, come watch dancers from all over Norfolk compete for the honour of being named Norfolk's best dancer.

So, Norfolk do you think you can dance?

"We're expecting a great turnout, outstanding performers and exposure of some unknown student talent," Maes said in a news release. "We just want people in the community to come out and have a really good time and see what dancing abilities Norfolk has."

It's not too late to enter. Those wishing to compete can register by contacting Robyn Millson ( ntri_rmillson@bhncdsb.ca) or Cameron Crimless ( ntri_ccrimless@bhncdsb.ca) . Entrants must file the music they intend to dance to at Holy Trinity by the end of the school day Wednesday.
