Health and Physical Education

Holy Trinity’s Physical Education Program is known for its fitness and lifestyle approach that includes diverse and unique activities. The grade 9 and 12 students have the opportunity to receive their Canadian Red Cross CPR Certification, and the grade 11 classes can obtain their Standard First Aid Certification.  Biking (road and trail), canoeing, skating, cross country and downhill skiing, high ropes climbing school, and track & field are some of the unique activities available to the students in grade 9 through grade 12. Fitness testing and weight training are completed throughout the semester in all of the grades.  Holy Trinity also offers a Personal Fitness course that enables students to learn about the various components of fitness, develop and implement an individualized fitness plan, and students also take part in various activities such as spin classes, kick boxing, pilates, yoga, and zumba classes.

Holy Trinity has already developed a solid reputation in athletics. Basketball, volleyball and ice hockey are very popular for both male and female participants. Soccer, rugby, and track and field are sports that are becoming a force of the Titans.
