Dear Titan Families,
We hope you were able to have a restful and relaxing Spring Break.
As you know, Holy Trinity will be pivoting to remote learning starting next week.
Here is what you may need to know:
Timelines:
Monday, April 19, 2021 will remain a Reporting Day as previously scheduled. There are no classes.
Tuesday, April 20, 2021 – Quadmester 4 begins. Classroom teachers will be connecting and communicating with students and posting asynchronous work. Students are asked to check their school email accounts and to log into their teacher’s Brightspace/D2L page on Tuesday. Your child’s teacher will outline what remote learning will look like in their specific class. If students are unsure of their login, they are to reach out to their teacher or administrator.
Wednesday, April 21, 2021 and onward will include both synchronous (live teaching) and asynchronous work. It is essential that students are active with their courses online.
Access to technology
If you need a device you must go through the Board’s IT Department, not through the school. You must complete the Device Request Form (the email came to you from the District; a link has been provided below for easy access as well). As devices are limited, requests are for those without other available technology at home. For those students/parents who cannot access the Device Request Form link above, or who do not have any internet service, please contact the ITS Helpdesk at helpdesk@bhncdsb.ca or 226-401-1224 for assistance.
Attendance
Teachers will take attendance during the live meeting on Teams. They will also look to see who is accessing Brightspace and completing work and submitting it. Students who are not able to access live meetings should contact their teachers.

We recognize that remote learning comes with many challenges for students, staff and families. Thank you for all that you are sacrificing to ensure that our community remains healthy and safe.
