Construction
Introduction
Whether residential, commercial, industrial, or recreational, construction has always played a central role in human life. Construction courses introduce students to the tools, equipment, and processes required to design, construct, and maintain a variety of buildings and structures. Students will also learn about the construction industry’s health and safety standards, building codes and regulations, and employment opportunities and careers in the various sectors of the industry.
Course Description
Grade 9, Exploring Construction, Open, TCJ1O1
This exploratory course introduces students to concepts and skills related to construction and woodworking. Students will learn how to work safely with a variety of hand and power tools as they build predetermined projects. Students will also explore various careers related to construction and woodworking.
