Today we celebrate Ontario Day, a special opportunity to recognize and celebrate the people, cultures, histories, achievements, and communities that make Ontario such a vibrant and diverse province. Ontario Day reminds us of the many contributions that Ontarians have made to Canada and the world in areas such as science, technology, arts, education, sports, human rights, environmental stewardship, and community leadership. It is also a time to honour the histories, voices, and contributions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples whose presence and traditions continue to shape Ontario today. Throughout our province’s history, people from many cultures, backgrounds, and communities have worked together to build a stronger and more inclusive Ontario. Today, we celebrate that diversity and reflect on how each of us can continue to contribute positively to our schools, communities, and future. As a Catholic learning community, we are reminded that we are called to walk together in hope, respect the dignity of every person, and work for the common good. Ontario Day encourages us to appreciate our shared story and to recognize the importance of kindness, service, leadership, and belonging. We invite everyone today to take part in classroom activities and conversations that celebrate Ontario’s rich heritage, accomplishments, and future possibilities. Happy Ontario Day, everyone!
For those students traveling with Mr. Chernak to the Ogwehoweh Skills and Trades Training Centre tomorrow and Wednesday please wear cotton or blue jean pants with no holes to cover your legs and closed toe shoes or work boots if you have them to cover your feet. We will meet after announcements at the cross in front of the office.
Titans, we need your help! Teachers, staff, and students — please take a moment to cast your vote in our school tattoo art contest. The incredible contest entries are now proudly displayed in the front display cabinet of the school, where they will remain for the next three days for everyone to view. To vote, simply scan the QR codes beside each artwork and let us know which design you think deserves to be our winner. Every vote counts.
The HT Athletic Banquet will be held on Monday June 8th beginning at 11:30. The cost is $20 which includes a catered lunch from the Sandbar Restaurant. All students who participated in extracurricular sports and athletics this year are invited to attend. Please see a Phys Ed teacher in the PE office to purchase your ticket.
Have an awesome day Titans!
