Morning Announcements

Thursday, September 7th, 2023

Those interested in trying out for the HT golf team are to sign up outside the Phys Ed office no later than this Friday. Tryouts will begin next week. Please see Ms. Edge or Mr. Martinow for more details. 

 

Sr. Girls Basketball tryouts will take place Monday at 3:00pm and Wednesday at 7:15am. 

Jr. Girls Basketball tryouts will take place Wednesday at 3:00pm.

 

All boys interested in playing Senior Boys Volleyball this year are asked to sign up outside of room 225. They are also asked to pick up a form that must be signed and brought to the first tryout which will be Monday morning at 7am, then Tuesday and Wednesday at 7am.

Attention Titans: are you interested in joining the HT cheer team? There will be a short meeting at the start of lunch on Friday in room 255. See you there.

Those who are interested in trying out for the varsity football team, please sign up on the sheets outside the phys Ed office. There will be a mandatory meeting Thursday at lunch in the gym to discuss tryout dates and the upcoming season.

 

 

Tuesday, September 5th, 2023

“Attention any grade 9 and 10 boys, there are going to be junior boys’ soccer tryouts Wednesday and Thursday this week, Monday, and Tuesday next week. All practices are after school until approximately 5pm. You must wear cleats and should have shin pads. If you cannot attend, please see Mr. Suglio or Mr. Diron in room 203 at lunch or during period 3.”

ATTENTION all students registered for the ROME to ATHENS 2024 March Break trip with Mrs. Sullivan and Mr. Varga.  There is an important meeting on Wednesday, June 7th in room 232 at the beginning of lunch.

Thursday, May 11th, 2023

A big thank you to chef and her team of students who worked extremely hard to prepare and serve a fantastic French  dinner for the  club Français . The students from all schools greatly appreciate all your hard work and the food was excellent! Merci ! 

 

Attention grads, the graduation invitation, schedule, and registration form has been emailed to your parent email address.  Please ask them if they have received it as the deadline to register is June 7th.


 

Wednesday, May 10th, 2023

The varsity girls rugby team played 2 regular season games on Monday in Waterford. The girls dominated both games and their solid defensive play did not allow any points to be scored on them in either game. 

The girls played Waterford in their first match-up and won 31-0. 
Kemi Lasisi put 10 points on the score board, 9 points by Emma Thomson, 5 a piece for Charli Babib and Liv Bluhm and Alexis Revai contributed 2 points with a solid conversion. 

The girls continued their winning streak with an astounding 74-0 victory over Delhi. 15 points was scored by Emma Thomson and both Alexis Revai and Teagan Vanrooy rallied 12 points each. 
Heidi Mattice, Charlie Babin, Amanda Rodgers, Aleah Callendar, Hayden Dwyer , Kemi Lasisi and Tessa Deroo all scored 5 points a piece! 

Amazing team work by all players. 

The girls wrap up their regular season play this afternoon against Paris. 

Teachers- please excuse the girls today at 12:45pm so they can board the bus for 1pm.

Attention students applying for the Titan Award/ School letter, a last minute reminder. If you are looking to have points approved that relate to student council you must email either Mr. Columbus, Mr. Suglio or Ms. Vukelich by midnight tonight with your request in order to make this Friday’s application deadline.

 

Attention to all French Club members who are attending our dinner tonight. We will be meeting in Chef's room by 4:15 . Be in uniform or Spirit Wear.

Tuesday, May 9th, 2023

On Monday the boys soccer team won their regular season finale against first place Delhi by a score of 2 – 1. Goals were scored by Quinn Trojan and Robbie Foster. Player of the game was Nolan Heeg.

Our Lady of Fatima is looking for a student to volunteer and videotape their grade 8 graduation.  If you are interested in helping out and getting community service hours, please see Miss Aitken in Guidance.


 

Anyone interested in attending the Valley Heights Angling event, please see Ms. Hanson in TLC for permission forms ASAP.  Forms are due Tuesday May 16.  You must have good attendance and be passing your courses to attend this event.

Can all students who placed 1st or 2nd in their events please come down for a brief meeting in the big gym to grab permission forms, a schedule, and to confirm your events for the AABHN Championships next week.

 

Holy Trinity and BHNCDSB would like to congratulate Katelynn Albanese for her exceptional performance in the Skill Ontario competition on Tuesday.  Katelynn competed against 23 other students from schools across Ontario in the Architectural Technology and Design competition.  Great work Katelynn!  We are very proud of your dedication and performance at Skills!

Our HT Tech department is looking for any students who own their own small businesses!  We are looking to add student vendors to our upcoming Annual Car, Truck and Tractor Show on Friday May 19th!  Any students interested in this opportunity are asked to speak with Mrs. D'Hulster before Tuesday of next week anytime in room 155!  

 

Our Holy Trinity Tech Department is very excited to launch our very first Tech spirit wear!  Our "Tech Folk" logo was designed by local artist Eric Pond and is available for purchase!  Options include hoodies, crew neck sweaters and t-shirts!   Any students interested in ordering can pick up an order form in the main office or from Mrs. DHulster in room 155!  Orders are due by Tuesday May 9th! See any of HT's amazing Tech teachers to preview the logo and design!

Attention all students who are involved in the French Club. There will be a meeting today at lunch in room 148  to discuss our upcoming dinner next week.   If you cannot make it and are plannint on attending the dinner, please see Madame Vezsenyi to make sure that you are on the list and that we are aware of any dietary restrictions. Congratulations to all athletes yesterday in our annual track and field meet. There were some amazing results considering the unfortunate weather.

Congratulations to Logan Freethy who broke the senior boys 400m record. Jack Palermo who broke the novice boys 400m record. As well as Aviah Bramer who broke the Junior girls discus record.

There were amazing efforts put forth by all atheletes.

Thank you to all teachers, student helpers, and athletes for making it a great day.

All athletes who finish 1st or 2nd in any of their events need to speak to Mr. Backus in the phys-ed office to secure their position and grab permission forms for the AABHN meet on May 11th at Pauline Johnson.

Attention all grade 11 and 12 students who are involved in school life.  The School Letter and Titan award applications are due to Ms. Charnish or Ms. Burnie next Friday May 12th.  Late forms will not be accepted.   To find the form please log in to trinitycatholic.ca and then under the student life tab you will find the School Letter and Titan award application forms.  Students will need to have their club leaders and sports team coaches sign the forms so please do not leave it until the last minute.  Thank you for your involvement at Holy Trinity

 

Attention students attending the discovery health science days at the University of Western with Mrs. Bouw on Friday. Please check your e-mail for important information about Friday.  Lunch is provided.

Yesterday the Varsity Girls Rugby team continued their winning streak with a commanding 51-12 victory over North Park. Tries were scored by Nat Hein, Heidi Mattice, Ashley Wolfe, Alexis Revai and Kemi Lasisi with 4 tries! Emma Thomson added 11 points to the score board with a solid penalty kick and 4 great conversions as well as amazing steals on defense. 

Great team work by all players and aggressive tackling was shown by the entire team. The girls are reminded of their upcoming practice Wed after school to prepare for their tourney in Guelph on Thursday. Please see all of your teachers for work that you will miss. The team will be out all day.

Yesterday the boys’ soccer team defeated Valley Heights 6-0. Goals were scored by Tyler Santos, Nick Bint, and 2 goals each for Andre Feere and Noah Gascoigne. Ben Reyes gets the clean sheet and the player of the game was Andre Feere.


 

Yesterday, in girls soccer action, the Titans beat Valley Heights 3-1. Jillian Haak opened the scoring and Aaliyah Hoover added two more. Blue Stewart was solid in the net. Excellent defence by Bridgette Burns. Next game is against SCS at home on Wednesday.
