 Attention Titans: Are you interested in joining HT’s cheer team? Try-outs will be held Tuesday May 2nd and Wednesday May 3rd from 7 - 8:30 amin the small gym. Pick up permission forms outside room 255 and see Ms. Vukelich or Ms. Slaght  if you have any questions. You must attend both try-outs in order to considered.

 

On Saturday, April 21st,  Titans; Zoë Veldhuis,  Alex Sullivan and Isabele Saudade received the top prize at the Haldimand County and Norfolk County Public Library's 24-Hour Youth Film Challenge for their film, Without You.

Competitors were given three prompts (a location, a prop and a line of dialogue) and 24 hours to plan, film, edit and submit.

The filmmakers attended a red carpet event on Saturday at the Simcoe branch where they won first prize as well as the audience choice award.

Well done, Titans!

 

In girls' hockey news.

This past week the Stoney Creek Sabers competed in the Esso cup.

This is the U18 National championship.

Congratulations to #89 Aviah Bramer and her teammates from all over the greater Hamilton area for going undefeated and winning the championship game Saturday night in Prince Albert Saskatchewan. 

 

We have Titans doing amazing things outside of school and if you know of a Titan doing something extraordinary, please let Mrs. Williams know so we can celebrate them!

Yesterday, in girls soccer action, the Holy Trinity Titans overcame a tough loss to SCS Monday to defeat the Delhi Raiders 3 to 2. Shout out to Bridgette Burns, Lainey Dove and Aaliyah Hoover for outstanding play. Players are reminded yo get their permission forms to Mrs. Haak for the Waterford tournament by the end of the day.

 

Last night the boys soccer team was defeated 2-0 by Delhi. Players of the game were Landon Terrebroodt and Andre Feere.

 

This week the varsity girls rugby team began their season. Although they came up short against a tough squad from BCI on Monday, the girls fought hard yesterday and captured their first 2 wins of the season 22-14 against ACS and 27-17 against SJC.
Tries were scored by Kemi Lasisi, Liv Bluhm, Emma Thomson and Teagan Vanrooy with Kendall Mychajluk scoring the conversion.
Excellent defensive tackling by Alexis Revai, Chloe Binkley, Aleah Callendar, Hayden Dwyer, Emma Dedobbelear, Ashley Wolfe, Haley VanMale, Teagan Vanrooy, Emma Thomson and Keiara Harris-McEwan.
A big thank you to the juniors for their support all week as they continue to learn the game of rugby.
Great effort by the entire squad! Enjoy your 3 days off!

Good morning Titans, (Name) here from Prom Comittee. This announcement is for Grade 12 students. Prom contracts are available in your homerooms and in the office.

 

The cost of tickets are $75 and you must pay through School Cash Online. It is currently open and will be open until Tomorrow wednesday April 26th. You must pay and have a contract signed when you pick up your ticket. Ticket pick up will be on Thursday April 27th and Friday April 28th. Pick up will be in Rm 155 during lunch. 

 

If you have a guest who is not a gr. 12 student in Holy Trinity, make sure to have a signed contract and purchase 2 tickets. These are non refundable tickets. More information will be on the promo and released on our instagram page @holytrinityprom23

Yesterday the boys soccer team played to a 2-2 draw versus SCS. Goals scored by ben Fitzgerald and Isaac Gascoigne. Player of the game was Ben Reyes.

Ms Bedic’s period 2 grade 10 class is reminded to meet in room 232 for class.

“Yesterday the boys soccer team beat Valley Heights 5-0. Goals were scored by Issac Gascoigne, Isaac Adenebaytso, Landon Terrebroodt, Aadi Kakoty, and Cam Pearson. Strong performance from Robbie Acres and the player of the game was Connor Mendes”

 

Yesterday, the Trinity girls soccer team faced Valley Heights for their first game of the season. The Titans came out on top with a 5- 2 victory over the Bears. Outstanding goal tending by Blue Stewart was a deciding factor in the game. Congratulations to Sophia Correira and Lainey Dove for scoring for HT. Special shout-out to Aaliyah Hoover who scored a hat-trick for the Titan offence. Amazing teamwork and game play especially Maeve Suprun, Laura Mac Donald and Rachael Rogers. The girls team is back in action on Monday versus our cross town rivals SCS.

 

There will be a very important Music Ministry Practice over lunch today in the music room (Room 147) beginning at 11:45

Bus will leave at 8:55am sharp Tuesday morning. Please be in the atrium ready to go. Clothes toed shoes are mandatory. Spirit wear is allowed. Please dress for the weather. Bring money for lunch.

Wednesday, April 5th, 2023

Attention students who were supposed to attend the cadaver lab with Mrs. Bouw in February- the rescheduled date is Tuesday, April 18th. Please check your e-mail or come and see Mrs. Bouw in room 246 for new permission forms. You must get these new permission forms signed to attend the new date. They are due by next Wednesday.

Large bags and knapsacks are not allowed in the library, just as they are not allowed in classrooms.

They are to be put in the cubbies just inside the library doors.

If an item in your knapsack or bag needs to be secured, please Miss Barron or Amanda to have put in the lLibrary Office.

There will be a junior and senior badminton practice at lunch today. 

Practices will resume on wednesday - at lunch as well as after school from 3- 430.

 

The Vittoria District foundation has a scholarship available for those entering university or college. Applications can be found in the guidance office or online on the Vittoria district website. Due Date for applications is Friday July 14th, 2023.

If you haven't signed up there is still time!  Join us for. a cooking class in Rome, a walk through the Testaccio market,  a visit to Benevento, Bari and many other towns throughout Southern Italy. If you are interested in the cuisine and culture of Southern Italy, this is the trip for you! Please register by For our parent information meeting on Tuesday April 18th at 6 o'clock in our library. Do you want to participate in a school trip? Well we have a trip for you! The trip will include Travel to Rome, Italy where you will tour the city, its culture and history.  You will Tour the Vatican, Sistine chapel and witness mass at St Peter’s Basilica.   Then you will move on to Pompeii, take an overnight ferry to Patras, Greece.  You will Visit Athens and walk in the footsteps of ancient Greeks at the Acropolis and Parthenon.
