Tomorrow is our annual Pink Shirt Day. This day is to bring awareness to bullying and help spark a conversation for those who may be affected. Students can replace their uniform top with a pink shirt but must be wearing uniform bottoms.
Thanks again to the staff and students that have been turning left out of the rear lot at the end of the day. This small change has significantly improved the congestion issue on Oak St. and the buses have been able to get moving on their runs.
Since the start of Covid, our cafeteria services has been shut down. I am pleased to let you know that we are planning for the cafeteria servery to be open and available to staff and students starting the week after March Break.
I expect that they will start with a limited menu and increase the options as they are able. A focus will be put on individually packaged, self-serve items. Other food items will be available and served from behind the steam table.
We will be limiting the capacity in the servery at the door to reduce congestion and to encourage physical distancing. We ask that students also maintain physical distancing in the line up to get in.

Monday, February 7th, 2022
Welcome to the start of semester 2. For today only, students should be in their quadmester 2, 1st period class to get their timetable. Once announcements are done, students will be moving to their 1st period class for semester 2.
There is only 5 minutes between each of the classes so this time is not a break. It is considered travel time to get from one class to another. Late forms will be used if you don’t get to your next class on time.
Remember to leave non-uniform clothing in your lockers. Teachers are expecting students to arrive at their class in uniform. Make sure that you make a good impression on the first day of semester 2.
Students are not permitted to be in the halls during either lunch as there are other classes going on. Please stay in the cafeteria area until the warning bell rings. This is your indication that you can go to your locker to prepare for your next class.
Just a few Covid reminders:
The online screening tool should be done daily before coming to school to ensure that you are healthy and meet the conditions required to attend school. A link to the screening tool is on the top menu of our school website.
Masks must be worn and worn properly at all times in the building.
Remember to physically distance and respect other people’s space.
Wash your hands regularly or use hand sanitizer.
Please follow spacing and seating expectations in the cafeteria and be conscious of how you interact with others while you are eating your lunch without your masks.
I hope that everyone has a good start to semester 2.
