Morning Announcements

The Saint Vincent de Paul is looking to restock their shelves this Thanksgiving and The Holy Trinity community has always stepped up in a huge way each year to help. Next week Wednesday-Friday, students are encouraged to bring in canned goods to their homerooms which will be collected and given to the Norfolk St. Vincent de Paul. Your homeroom teachers have a list of items to bring in if you are unsure. There will be a delicious prize for the top 2 homerooms. 

Attention Cross Country runners Practices will continue Monday to Thursday after school this week - meet outside of the phys. ed office at 3:10.  Please try to attend at least two practices and complete one run at home over the weekend.  If have not yet brought in your forms or cannot make two practices due to other sport commitments, please see Ms. Deconinck O'Neail in guidance. All runners are welcome.

Please note, your complete homecraft items are due at the school in your homeroom on Monday, October 3rd. 

Classes will then be called down to the caf. by grade, where fair tags will be attached.  All items will then be dropped off to the fair on your behalf.

Do you enjoy board games or card games? If so, The HT daily games club has started - you can come enjoy the fun over lunch in Room #149 each day of the week. 

 

Attention Holy Trinity Concert Band members, please come down to the music room at lunch today to pick up your permission form for our performance at the Norfolk County Fair next week. Please see Mr. Webster if you have any questions or concerns.

Attention Cross Country runners Practices will continue Monday to Thursday after school this week - meet outside of the phys. ed office at 3:10.  Please try to attend at least two practices and complete one run at home over the weekend.  If have not yet brought in your forms or cannot make two practices due to other sport commitments, please see Ms. Deconinck O'Neail in guidance. All runners are welcome. 

 

Anyone interested in running the road race (1.6km) at fair please see Ms deconinck-O’Neail in guidance.   

 

Attention runners anyone interested in joining the Holy Trinity team for the CIBC run for the cure this Sunday please see Mr VanDeWiele in room 251.  Everyone is welcome, come out and run/walk for a great cause.

Attention Runners interested in running the Road Race at the Norfolk county fair on Fair Day - Tuesday October 4th,  We will be having a timed trial for those who are interested on Tuesday after school please meet outside of the phys. ed. office at 3:10 dressed and ready to go.  If you wish to run but cannot make it, please see Ms. Deconinck O'Neail in guidance.

Are you a strong math student and still need community service hours?  Ms Hanson is looking for more Peer Tutors to assist students one or two days a week during lunch, for all levels of math (Grade 11 U, M and C courses as well as grade 10 academic, especially). 

Please see Ms. Hanson in TLC ASAP if you are interested in this opportunity.

Any student interested in learning about, or, getting involved with various initiatives in school and greater community are welcome to come check it out. See Chap Ian for more information.

All cross-country runners we will practice after school from Monday- Thursday each week.  Meet outside the phys.ed. office at 3:10 dressed and ready to run.  Practices will run until 4:15-4:30. We ask that runners try to make at least 2 practices a week and do one run on the weekend.  The more practices you make,  the faster you will improve and the better your fitness level will become.  All runners are welcome to join.  Please see Ms. Deconinck O'Neail in guidance if you are not able to make two practices.

Tuesday, September 20th, 2022

Attention all grads who signed up for the Liaison visit for Western.  

The visit has been rescheduled from this morning at 9:30 to Thursday at 12:20.  You will receive a slip to attend in your homeroom.  

McMaster and Humber have also confirmed that they will be visiting and have been added to the list of visiting schools.

If you have not yet signed up for visits please remember to do so on the counter in guidance.  You can sign up for up to two colleges and two Universities.

If you signed out a book from the library last year and haven't returned it, please bring it back as soon as possible. You can drop the book into the Book Return box that is to the left, just inside the library door. 

Attention anyone trying out for the junior boys volleyball team. There will be a quick meeting after morning announcements in room 223. Tryouts resume Tuesday morning at 7:15 AM and then on Wednesday after school. Final cuts will be made after Wednesday’s practice. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Haak in room 223, period Two or Four. The first team practice will be on Thursday after school. 

Anyone interested in being a part of the HT Tug of War team participating in fair is asked to sign up outside of the Phys Ed office. More details to follow for practice info. 

A reminder that all grade levels can buy dance tickets today at lunch. If there are any tickets available after today, tickets will also be on sale to any grade on Tuesday.

Attention Tennis players: there are tryouts today until next week daily from 4-5 at Norfolk Golf and Country club. Obtain your permission form outside the Phys-ed office and hand in at the tryouts.

Music Ministry will be practicing Thursdays over lunch. Please join us this today for a very important practice prior to our opening Mass. 

 

The 2022 HT golf team has been posted outside the PE office.  Thanks to those who tried out.  To the members, please see Mr. Martinow immediately following the announcements to get information regarding the tournament next week.
