Morning Announcements

Attention boys trying out for the Varsity Boys Hockey Team.

Please be sure to check the list posted outside the Phys-Ed office for those participating in the last tryout TOMORROW at Talbot Gardens from 3:00 – 4:00 pm.

If you are unable to attend, please contact Mr. VanParys, Mr. Lichty or Mr. Martinow some time today.

Attention cross country runners please come to TLC immediately following these announcements to order your spirit wear.  
 

The next junior girls volleyball try out is Monday morning at 7:15 a.m. See the list that is posted on the phys. ed. office bulletin board after noon time today. 

The senior girl’s basketball team competed hard in CWOSSA yesterday. The girls won their first game against St. Mary’s Owen Sound with a score of 48-23 and advanced to the first CWOSSA final in HT girls basketball history. Unfortunately, the girls fell short in the final against a very good North Park team. They battled hard until the final whistle and did an excellent job representing HT. Mr. Flynn, Ms. Edge and Mr. Miller are proud of all of the girls accomplishments this season. Thanks to all players for a great season: Joanna Smith, Sophia Bomberry, Abbey Benaway, Charli Thornewell, Emma-Jay Broer, Hailey Vanmaele, Hannah Vanmaele, Sophia Correia, Jayden Smith, Abi Thomson, Jenn Vandewiele and Mikaela Meckliffe.  

The library would like to remind all students that if they have any overdue library books to return them to the library. There are no fines to the students, we just want them back.

A reminder from the Social Justice Club to any student writing letters to the Canadian Armed Forces to drop off their letters to Chap Ian in room 205 by the end of the school day today.

Tryouts for the Holy Trinity Junior Boys’ Basketball team will begin tomorrow – Thursday – in the gym beginning at 4:30 p.m.

There will be a second tryout after school on Friday at 3:00 p.m.

Interested students should come prepared in Phys. Ed. attire.

A sign up sheet outside the PE office has been posted. Please add your name to this list.

All members of the boys volleyball team need to come to the gym following announcements for a quick meeting.

Reminder to all potential grads that have received a grad photo booking date and time – Please remember to show up for that appointment.  Also a white collared shirt is ideal for under the gown and a dark tie works best.

"Junior and senior girls volleyball tryouts are this Thursday after school from 3:00 until 4:30. Please sign up on the phys. ed. office bulletin board and pick up a try out permission form. 

Boys volleyball players, please hand in your jerseys to the phys. ed. office this week. Also, a reminder to the junior boys who have yet to pay for their volleyball sweatshirt, please give your money to Ms Bedic or pay using School Cash online by the end of the day tomorrow."

In November, we are always reminded of the great sacrifices Canadian soldiers and their families make for our great country. The social justice club is encouraging students to write a letter to the Canadian Armed Forces to be mailed out in time for Christmas. Letters can be handwritten or typed and can be dropped off or emailed to Chap Ian in room 205. If you'd like to participate, but are unsure of what to write, you can share your first name, what grade you are in, what you are hoping to do after High School or even a little prayer or quote you find helpful on your own journeys. Any letters must be dropped off by the end of the School day by THIS Friday November 19th

Reminder to all potential grads - Grad photos are starting on November 15. Once your fees are paid, your will be emailed your photo session information. If your appointment has been booked, please wear a white collared shirt.

At 11:00 am this morning, we will be recognizing Remembrance Day by playing the last post over the intercom. We ask that all classes stop their classroom activities at that time to show our respect to our fallen soldiers.
