"The Junior Girls volleyball team beat Valley Heights in three sets last night thanks to their communication and impressive court movement. The girls stayed energetic and fought for every point. The team will pick up in the new semester with a game against Delhi."


 

Attention current and former health care students and health care club members (CCC) members. 

Mrs. Bouw is looking for 2-3 more students to assist her during the open house this Thursday from 6:30-8pm. Dress the part in your health care scrubs! 
Volunteer hours will be given. Please e-mail her today or pop over to see her in room 246 if you are interested. Details will be provided then.

The HT Junior Boys’ Basketball team improved their season record to 6 wins and 1 loss with a 44-25 victory over the Valley Heights Bears. Jack Palermo led the Titans with 18 points. Noah Bint, John Steckelberg, Lucian Porto, and Parker Smith each added 4 points. Lynken Derkach led team at the defensive end and rebounded well. The team is reminded of their practice today at 3:00 p.m. and their final game – prior to the exam break – at Dunnville on Thursday.

Attention members of the Boys Varsity Hockey Team.

There will be a short meeting TODAY in Mr. VanParys’ room (room 242) at the start of lunch regarding the upcoming league schedule.

If you are not able to attend, please contact Mr. VanParys, Mr. Martinow or Mr. Lichty.

 

"Girls Hockey team rounded out their regular season with a 6-0 victory over Delhi on Monday. Leading the way, with 2 goals each were; Olivia Richard and Teagan VanRoy. Averie Bonin and Aubrey Howe each added a goal each. Alyssa Calvesbert and Emma Stewart shared the shutout in net for the Titans. With the win the girls clinched first place, heading into the playoffs." 

 

There are a couple of upcoming  Volunteer opportunities coming up please listen carefully and come and see the volunteer board in guidance for more information.

 

Purrfect companions in Delhi is looking for shelter cleaning volunteers age 16 and up to  help for Community Service hours.  Cleaning shifts are 9-12 and 5-7 Monday - Sunday.   IF interested please contact 226-227-8289.

 

The Knights of Columbus from Simcoe/Waterford are in need of some volunteers to help with a Spaghetti dinner. Saturday Feb. 3rd.   Start time will be around 4 and go to 8pm  or later.  This event is at St. Mary's church in Simcoe. The type of help could vary from setting up tables, serving food and/or clean up after. The cooking would be done by adults.   6 - 8 volunteers are needed.Students interested in helping out can call Bob @ 519-718-3020 or  talk to Chap Ian.

"The Junior Girls Volleyball team pulled off another win against SCS yesterday in an exciting five sets. The girls worked hard at the net and had some excellent hits. The team will play Valley Heights on Tuesday. Keep it up Titans!"

 

The senior boys basketball team beat SCS last night 54-40 to gain back the silver sneaker!

 

Lead scorers were KJ Stronks with 17, Trey D’Hondt with 10 and Julius Brown with 8.

 

The boys are at SCS again today for the Sabres Shootout Tournament with a tough first matchup against Paris. Good luck boys.

This is a reminder that creative writing club is Thursday at lunch in 211. We will be creating a poster board to promote our club at Grade 8 Night and talking about the Laurier Stedman Prize writing contest.

 

Music ministry practices resume tomorrow in the music room (room 147)

Amazing job by the Jr. Girls Volleyball team at their AABHN tournament.  They went undefeated despite some close sets.  Congrats girls!

 

This is a reminder that the creative writing club will meet today in room 211.

Attention swim team members: registration for the AABHN swim meet on January 19th, will take place over the Christmas break.  If you are interested in swimming in a different event then you swam at out Guelph meet please come down to guidance and discuss it with Ms. Freund or Ms Deconinck- O’NEAIL.  

If we do not hear from you before the Christmas break we will register you in the same individual events as the Guelph meet.

Please try to get in a couple of length swims over the break - and have an excellent holiday see you the first Monday back.  Merry Christmas!!

Good morning titans!

 

Just a reminder to the SHSM students participating in today’s Infection Control training- to be in room 246 at 11:55am with your lunch so we can begin training at 12pmsharp. Training will last until 2:55pm.

 

A reminder also to Mrs. Bouw’s period  3 and 4 students not participating to report to library or TLC as indicated on Friday.

Congrats to the Jr. Girls Volleyball team for beating Delhi in 3 sets. Great communication on the court ladies!


 

The senior boys basketball team defeated the Raiders in Delhi last night with a score of 55-40. 

Lead scorers were Julius Brown with 13, Korey Shawana-Sherry with 9, Ricky Tsai with 7 and Chase Bacher with 6. 

The boys will be in Waterford all day today for a 4 game tournament. 

Great work boys!

There is no Music Ministry Practice at Lunch today - we will practice NEXT Thursday

 

The Rosary will be prayed at lunch today in the chapel with the special intention of thanksgiving for all the food and items donated to the Giving Tree.

 

Just a reminder to the grade 9 science and senior physics classes, as well as the STEM club, to please get your payment in TODAY for the planetarium tomorrow. It is going to be a great experience that you won’t want to miss!
