The Varsity Boys Hockey Team completed their regular season winning their ninth consecutive league championship defeating Simcoe by the score of 4-2.

Shout outs go to:

Chase McCallum with a goal

and Tyler Harding with the game winning goal with just under 3 minutes to play to secure the victory

 

The Boys are reminded of their CWOSSA qualifier game this Friday in Brantford at 4:00 pm.

 

Any girls interested in playing  lacrosse  for HT's first team are to come down for a very important meeting at the start of lunch in the gym and speak with Mr. Backus about the upcoming season.

Congratulations to our HT mixed curling team for winning the AABHN championship over North Park on Friday 8-4.

Our team members are Kylie Varga- spare, Camyrn Winkworth 1st, Kevin Rooney -2nd,

Mr. McCarroll and Mr. Ellis travel to Orangeville Monday night for two days of play against CWOSSA’s best.

The course offers indispensable opportunities for creative freedom and collaboration that will help you thrive in post-secondary and beyond. 

 

Holy Trinity's Creative Writing Club, The Starving Writers Society, meets every Thursday at lunch in room 211. Come on out to write with us this Thursday. All are welcome. Please see Ms. Noonan or Miss Robinson if you have any questions.

Attention members of the Boys Varsity Hockey Team.

Just a reminder of our Championship game on Monday at Talbot Gardens starting at 1:00 pm.

To all March Break travellers to Italy and Greece!  There is a mandatory meeting in room 232 during lunch today! Friday February 23rd.

Please bring signed forms and information for the trip."

 

Next years Course selections are due Tuesday February 27 or Wednesday Feb. 28th.  Students will be called down with their homeroom classes during period 1 to submit their selections.  Please complete selections over the weekend and bring in your myblueprint signoff sheet on Tuesday.  Classes for students who submit their forms late will not be guaranteed.   Parents will also need to log in to school cash online to pay the $40 activity fee. 

 

Attention grads:  Community service hours are past due.  Please be sure to complete your 40 Community Service hours for a not for profit organization and submit them before March 30th so we are able to order your diploma. 

 

The school letter and titan award applications for the 2023-2024 school year have been uploaded to our website.  

For grade 11 and 12 students who are involved in school life please visit www.trinitycatholic.ca and print off the application under student life.  Applications must be completed, signed by staff reps and submitted no later than May 17th at 3pm. in order to be eligible for these prestigious awards. 

 

Attention Grade 12 college or university bound students.  Please log in to your OUAC or OCAS account and ensure that all of your grades are listed correctly as well as all of the course that you are currently enrolled in- especially if you have made timetable changes.  If there is an error please see Michele in guidance ASAP. 

 

Attention grade 10 students:  Each year HOBY Canada puts on a 3 day leadership conference for grade 10 students to develop leadership skills and meet like minded students from across the province.  This years conference is at the University of Guelph- Ridgetown Campus from May 3-5.  If you are interested in being a Holy Trinity representative for this conference Please come down to guidance for more information.

Attention health care club (CCC) members- there will be a meeting today at lunch in room 246!  New members welcome! The focus of today’s meeting with be the Casper Test and ethics in health  care! Students can also get advice from senior students about course selections for next year!

The Jr. Girls' put up a great fight against North Park in their CWOSSAA challenger game. Despite some great blocks and awesome hits, North Park managed to get the better.  What a great season ladies! Be proud of what you accomplished!

A huge congratulations goes out to the Junior Girls Volleyball team, who finished first in the league after defeating Cayuga in four sets on Friday night. The coaches are so proud of the girls for the competitive spirit they brought to the high-pressure game. Their success is well deserved, as they fought for every point. The champions continue their season tonight with a CWOSSA qualifier game against North Park. Way to go ladies!

 

Good morning titans! Just a reminder that scrub order forms and Payment are due today! If you have an order form and payment- please bring to Mrs. Bouw at the beginning of lunch in room 246. 
Due to yesterday being a holiday/ if you forgot your form and payment- I will accept them tomorrow at the latest. 
No late orders after Wednesday will be accepted.

Hey Titans, it's time to clean up after a long weekend! Pick up your empties! Ask your neighbors too, and bring those bottles and cans in both today and tomorrow to the shipping doors between 3:00 and 5:00pm. All donations will help off-set the cost of busing for students travelling this March Break. All donations are greatly appreciated! 

 

Congratulations to the HT Curling team for a successful round robin season. The team went 4-1 and are in first place going into the semis against Assumption this Friday at the Simcoe curling club.

The Varsity Boys Hockey Team finished their regular season in winning fashion yesterday defeating Delhi by the score of 7 to 1.

The boys finished the regular season in first place and have earned a bye to the Championship game.

Good luck boys, and bring home another Championship.

 

Reminder to all students who took Tech Design with Ms. DHulster last semester today is the last day to pick up your final CCA’s before they are recycled.

 

The Tech Department is selling Tech Folk spirit wear hoodies, ¾ zip and tshirts again!  Order forms are available from any tech teacher.  If you are interested in ordering, please have your order form in for Monday February 26th.

Attention Health Care club - CCC members- due to the spirit week events this week- we will resume our Wednesday meetings starting on Feb. 21st in room 246. The meetings will be every other week. Please check Heja for our schedule..

Attention Health and Wellness SHSM students- please check the Brightspace homepage and your e-mail for an important announcement. Your response was required last night, however- you can e-mail Mrs. Bouw asap if you are interested in the Air Ornge SHSM field trip. It is important - especially for Grade 12’s to  continually check these platforms so you are up to date with important information for semester 2.

Attention grade 11 or 12 students looking at pursuing an Undergraduate degree leading to Med School or a Health Science program in University. The University of Western is having their annual Medical Hall of Fame Discovery Days. A select number of students from HT can attend. This full day on May 3rd consists of a series of workshops and a guest speaker. If you are interested in attending please e-mail Mrs. Bouw by this Friday.

 

Reminder that the Grade 11 skilled Trades presentation is on Tuesday Feb 20th during Period 4.  All are welcomed !!  You must sign up by this Friday if you

This is a very important announcement for all students who will be taking the French DELF test in April . You must complete the online form for Madame Whiting today that was sent to your email . Please ensure that you also submit your paper for to Madame Vezsemyi asap. Thanks .

The Varsity Boys Hockey Team played in a tournament yesterday hosted by Delhi.

The boys went undefeated in the tournament winning the championship over the host team Delhi Raiders by the score of 2-1.

The boys played outstanding defensive hockey, only allowing 3 total goals in the 3 games they played.

Shout outs go to: 

The team’s defensemen Nick Bint, Koen Berkel, Matt Heran and Fionn Kelly.

Goaltenders Ethan Kett, Landon Terrebroodt (who recorded a shutout) and Hudson Chambers who recorded the win in the Championship game.

On the offensive side, Taylor Harding with 2 goals, Callum Gee with a goal, Chase McCallum with a goal and Landon Griffin with the game winning goal in the Championship game.

Congratulations boys, and let’s continue our winning ways today against Simcoe.

 

 We are going to introduce a Foos ball table in the atrium next week. The foos ball table will be $1 to play  and it will help to offset cost of HT Athletics.  If there is any issues with having the foos ball table in the atrium we will remove it. Everyone needs to respect this privilege. The table has been part of HT since the school opened and we hare hoping the student body will enjoy having it.

G.I.R.L.S Power Camp is recruiting facilitators aged 16+ to help run camp this year, it will run April 19, 20 and overnight to the 21st , and there is a mandatory training day on Saturday April 6th. You will receive 40 community service hours by participating. If you’d like to apply, please see the information posted on the volunteer board in guidance, the deadline for applications is February 29th 2024.
