Holy Trinity will be hosting a post-secondary fair on Wednesday from 4-6pm in the large gym.  Various colleges and Universities as well as Norfolk OPP, Norfolk general hospital and other community partners will be here to promote and share resources and opportunities.  We encourage students and families to make their way to the gym during parent-teacher night.  See you there!

Good morning Titans! Just an update on anyone who ordered health care scrubs spirit wear. The order was delayed- but should be in by next week! Please listen for the announcement on when you can pick up. Thank you for your patience! 

Attention grade 12's applying to U of T for Arts & Science programs - The Wolf Scholarship deadline is fast approaching.  Please visit the guidance Brightspace page or speak to Ms. Berta for more info. 

Attention grade 12s, Fanshawe College will be coming for a fall visit, any students who have signed up will receive a slip to attend the day of the visit.

Attention grade 9s!  We will be running a Night School program which is open to grade 8 and 9 students.  The courses will be Communications Technology and Construction technology and a blended Technology for the skilled trades.  Course dates are from the week of October 30 to the week of June 1 (Christmas holidays and March Break excepted).  Time is 4:30pm to 7:30pm on Tuesdays.  Registration deadline of October 22, 2025 Is fast approaching.  If you are interested, please see your guidance counsellor or sign up through Myblueprint.

HT is travelling with EF Tours to Italy March Break 2027!  If Italy is on your bucket list, don't miss this opportunity to experience the culture, language, art, and history of Venice, Florence, Rome! If you are interested in the trip or you have questions, please email Mrs. Sullivan.

Attention cross country runners.  Please come to guidance for a very brief but important meeting today at lunch in Guidance. 

Mr. Chernak would like to remind his afternoon welding class to meet him at the cross. Bus leaves at 11.40am behind the school.  I repeat - the afternoon welding class is leaving at 11.40am.

This announcement is for all students in Extended French or students who are taking grades 10 , 11 or 12 core French this year. There will be a meeting today at lunch in Room 148 with Madame Vezsenyi regarding the trip to Quebec City and Montreal in February 2026 in time for the Winter Carnival  This meeting is only for those who are interested in going on this exciting trip and who are continuing with their French studies.

HT has a Chess Club. Whether you are new to chess or an avid player, we are always looking for members to fall more in love with the game by teaching one another.  The chess club takes place in the games club Room 232 on Thursdays or 231 Monday-Wednesday and Fridays.

There is a Music Ministry practice in the music room at the start of lunch today.

Do you love to read?  Or do you just like to read, but feel like with the right book, and a fun community you could find yourself loving it?  If your answer was yes (or even maybe) to either of those previous questions, come to the library at lunch, TODAY!  We will have our first book club meeting, where you can get all the info about this awesome community of book lovers!  See Ms. McColeman in the library and check our Instagram for updates.

Attention members of the Varsity Baseball team. There will be a very short and brief team meeting at the beginning of lunch in Room 242 to discuss tomorrow's game. All players must attend. 

All cross-country runners are asked to check in with Ms. Deconinck-ONeail in Guidance today before the end of lunch to confirm their attendance for tomorrow’s AABHN meet and state whether or not they need a ride.  Good luck tomorrow runners!!

Attention tennis players attending CWOSSA on Thursday and Friday this week. We will have practice after school starting at 3pm for all players. If you cannot attend practice but are planning on attending CWOSSA- please see Mrs. Robinson or Mr. Bramer TODAY for forms and info. 

Photo Retakes will take place today in the Conference Room.  Students wishing to get their pictures redone will be called down over the PA.

Pumpkinfest volunteers needed for tonight, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm (2h), at 155 Concession Road 10, Waterford. We are looking for a few volunteers to help decorate the Pumpkinfest float; including moving hay, carving pumpkins and arranging decorations.

Attention all ye readers of books that are spooky, scary, or even horrifying!  We need you to join the DARE TO BE SCARED challenge!  If you haven't already done so, make your way to the library to pick a book that's just the right amount of terrifying for your preferences.  Read it throughout October, then come to our Dare to Be Scared pizza party at the end of the month!  Register with Ms. McColeman.

Attention seniors applying to the University of Toronto this year.  The new Wolf Scholarship is now accepting nominations. If you intend on applying to U of T and would like to be nominated, please speak to Ms. Berta in guidance asap.

The Wolf Scholars Program, including four years of tuition and the program’s distinctive extracurricular experiences, is fully funded by the Wolf Cooper Foundation and the University of Toronto - which for you means free tuition and life experiences!

All female tug of war participants, please come to the gym today at lunch for a practice. 

Any student who has signed up for an afternoon shift of fair parking, please visit the PE office today to pick up you fair admission pass. If any students are interested in volunteering to assist with parking at the fair, there is still room for a few students. Please visit the PE office to sign up.

Attention tennis team members- practice today for all players from 3-5pm. If you cannot attend the entire practice- plan on attending for a least an hour. Please bring the forms and money that was due today to Mrs. Bouw today in room 246 - or you can give them to her at the practice. If you cannot attend- please let one of the coaches know. We will have a meeting on Wednesday at lunch in room 246 to discuss details for the tournament on Thursday.

Anyone who has signed up for HTTV, please check the door in Room 141 for the schedule.

Attention writers! We want to hear your spooky stories! The Bolt is hosting a Halloween writing contest. The winner gets at $25 gift card to Indigo bookstore and the top 3 entries will be published in a bonus Halloween edition of the newspaper. Check out the posters around the school and scan the QR code for some writing prompts. Original ideas are also accepted! Good Luck.

The Rotary Club of Norfolk Sunrise invites you to come to an information session to learn about youth exchanges and to ask any questions that you have. The process for applying will be explained. Sign up in the guidance office to attend the info session which will take place during the lunch hour on Thursday Oct 9th. Location room 206.

Attention Homecraft creators.  Please make sure to bring in your entries on Monday.  You will be called down during first period to hand in your crafts for tagging.  If you miss this timeframe there is no guarantee that we can submit your homecraft.

We know it's only October, but we wanted to give you a heads up.  It's almost time for our annual 12 Days of Giving campaign. From October 14th to the 29th (so beginning after Thanksgiving), we will be collecting specific food items each day to help support families in our own HT community this Christmas season . Each day you can bring in new items to donate. Check your homeroom classes for a list of what to bring in each day. It is a grade-level competition and the grade that brings in the most donations will be awarded a dress-down day.
