Attention grade 12s!  Another scholarship arrived in Guidance today - the Long Point Region Conservation Authority Scholarship for students entering Environmental or Natural Resource related fields.  See Michele in Guidance for more information.  

Attention students who will be in Grade 11 or 12 NEXT SCHOOL YEAR; have you ever thought about helping those who have been devastated by a natural disaster? If you have this passion, then next year's mission trip is for you! The school board has been offering this type of mission trip to various locations in North America for over 20 years. The mission trip is a unique experience that allows you to put your faith into action. You will get the chance to work with students from the other 2 high schools in our school board for one week. The tentative location for this year's mission trip is New Orleans, Louisiana to help in the relief of damage caused by over a decade of hurricanes and tornados.  If you are interested, please pick up an application form and get more details from Mr. Petrella in the Phys Ed office. Spots are very limited, so apply as soon as possible. Applications are due back by June 1st at the latest!

Attention Grade 12 Bio, Kinesiology or Health Science students! There are 2 spots needed to be filled for our trip next Wed to the Ontario Science Center.  If you are interested in attending this DNA lab please see Mrs. Bouw immediately after announcements today for info.  If you are an SHSM student, the fees for the trip are included! 

Looking for volunteer hours.  Strong Start is a wonderful charitably funded program that runs in all 28 of our elementary schools. It is an early literacy intervention for some of our youngest learners. Strong Start relies solely on volunteers to run this amazing program.  Please see the Volunteer Board in Guidance for more information.

Yesterday in boys soccer action, Isaac Santos scored in the dying seconds to tie the game 1-1.  And then in extra time, Bailey Vanderhaeghe scored to give the Titans a 2-1 win, giving HT the NSSAA title.  Congratulations Titans!

All band students performing at Wonderland's Festival of Music THIS Friday must attend a short practice today until 4pm.

Any band students willing to perform today for "Have a Go" are to meet in the Music Room for a quick meeting right after the announcements.

Attention Students in Grade 12 Health Science or Biology.  Anyone who is planning on attending the Ontario Science Center DNA Fingerprinting Lab Trip on Wed, May 30th- MUST have forms given to Mrs. Bouw by 9am tomorrow morning. We need a minimum of 20 students to attend or the trip will be cancelled.  Students who have already submitted forms will need to confirm their attendance by 9am Wed. May 24th. Please see Mrs. Bouw in 246 to confirm your attendance on this trip immediately after announcements tomorrow.

Reminder to the Mock trial team of our get together today after school in Room 151. Hope to see you all there!

Tonight is our Music Program's annual Spring Concert featuring performances from all of the music classes this semester, Glee Club, the Intermediate Band and the Concert Band. The concert starts at 6:30pm in the lower caf and is free, so come out and support our music students!  Glee will meet right after school in the lower caf, Intermediate Band will meet at 4:30pm and all other performers will meet in the Music Room for 6:15pm.

This is a reminder for all students who are registered for co-op next year who are interested in applying for a placement at the Norfolk General Hospital.  Your complete application package is due to guidance by Monday, May 14th in order to be considered for the interview process.
